Charity finance directors are set to grill key political figures as part of a debate next month in the run-up to the general election.
The Charity Finance Directors’ Group will hold a Question Time-style debate to give its members the chance to ask burning questions and raise their issues with politicians from the three major UK political parties.
Acting chief executive of the CFDG David Membrey, said: ‘We expect a lively debate that tackles the key issues affecting the sector. The ongoing impacts of the recession and prospective public funding cuts are of real concern to our members, and they will be asking tough questions.’
Chaired by Kim Catcheside, the BBC's education correspondent who is also a trustee of the group, the panel of MPs will include Angela Smith, MP for the third sector; Nick Hurd, shadow minister for charities, social enterprising and volunteering; and Jenny Willott, shadow chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
